You're the part of me that I don't wanna see.
Monday, February 27, 2006I did my Management info-systems paper today. Damn friggin' easy lah! All thanks to my IT professional guitarist in my band...The Great Benson! I even found the time to go jamming yesterday with them. It was a rather terrible session. I kept screwing up. As a matter of fact, every single damn thing that could go wrong went wrong. Murphy's Law of Jamming. My bassist almost went ballistic on my drummer, I broke 2 strings, I couldn't get my timing down, I forgot chords, my tone sucked donkey dick all thanks to that piece of crap of a Marshall AVT digital amp. I hate digital...as far as audio is concerned.
Well bad patches are pretty good in a musical context, it gave us the opportunity to realise and iron out all our errors and flaws. I think it's really important for us to have a goal oriented approach, especially so when it comes to our music. We keep coming up with new material that it's crazy, we spend rehearsing the new material and completely forget about the old stuff. Anyways the next time round will be much better.
Other than the fact that I've got one more midterm paper to go...
I've also got a new friend to go along with this...

And this...

After a seemingly endless wait it's finally here...

The Xotic Effects RC Booster!!!!
Yes I'm a guitar slut, I photoshop my pedals too.
I've been playing non-stop, it sounds so damn good I just wanna leave it on the whole time. It functions primarily as a booster. Just to give me that extra push and contrast from my rhythm tones when I kick into a solo. The best part is that it does not colour my guitar tone, it merely amplifies it. Plus I get to tweak it to perfection and really cut through the mix.
Neighbours in Balmoral please standby for sleepless nights.
I Heart RC Booster!
Christopher.
