Dylan the dog recently got sterilized. It's a measure we have to take. My last dog met with many complications when she got pregnant and had puppies, as a result of which she had 2 miscarriages. It was a really heartbreaking experience for me when Amber, my previous dog died. We don't want to take any chances will Dylan. But I agree it's a really sad thing. She came back really dazed and subdued. I could tell she was excited to see me, she was wagging her tail like crazy but she just couldn't jump up like she usually does.
The funniest thing now is that Dylan has to wear a cone on her head to prevent her from interferring with her stiches.
I present to you Dylan the Dog in the latest cone fashions!

Now everyday can be Coney Dog day.
So yes as planned I met up with Benster, had shiok shiok chicken rice at his place and went over to his house to check out some of his new gear. Chicken rice was excellent. I can't believe how cheap it is. $4.80 I get a whole roasted thigh, rice, soup, and vegetables. At the place downstairs, $4.80 will probably just get you chicken and rice. Damn good stuff. I'm gonna go back there soon, furthermore it's so near Val's house! WOOT!
Benster's house is guitar wonderland. I got to play expensive guitars which only rich men can afford. In guitar internet land they are termed as the Guitar for Lawyer/Accountant/Invesment Banker/Doctor/And any other ridiculously high paying occupations.
Paul Reed Smith guitars!

This is what a $6000 guitar looks like.

Quite nice yes?
For me what's even nicer is a mini pedalfest. Benster has all these old school made in Japan Boss pedals. They make them in Taiwan now, along with almost 90% of your computer. As a result of which the new ones sound literally like crap.

Pedal Orgy.
Benster's a pretty mean guitarist, laying down nice blues lines and some funky strumming.
I'm just not too sure about his game face.

My highlight of the day was meeting up with Brandon to go to pedal wonderland. Aka. Mr. Misses's place at Clementi. Looks are certainly deceiving. Little did I know that on the 4th floor of a certain HDB block was a stash of shit loads of killer gear. It's an amazing feeling to play through a great amplifier. I got the opportunity to do so today twice! Brandon is a true killer player with a good ear for tone. I think without him my tone would be in the shitter. And my level of creativity would be stagnant. Meeting inspirational players is not easy especially in the context of singapore, everyone is just so selfish to share information. I've gain so many nice insights from him over the course of playing guitar together...I just have to work hard to apply them.
We spent about 2 hours there, just playing GREAT GEAR, talking shop and talking nonsense as well. I didn't even spend a single cent at Misse's place. I felt terrible about it, but he's an awesome guy. He actually called us over to just try out gear! How cool is that?
And that's the reason why I buy gear from him. No one can provide me with the level of service and information that he does. SUPER CONFIRM!
Christopher.
